MS/HS summer school students will be going to the BrownOtter Buffalo Ranch today, for Buffalo Teachings; learning how to process and use various parts of the buffalo.

4th grade-HS Summer School students will attend a field trip to Wozu tomorrow June 10th. Students will leave the school at 8:30 and leave Wozu at 2P.M. Students will be dropped off on the way back from Wozu for the following towns: Kenel, Mission, Wakpala, Highway 1806, and Watertower, while the rest of the students will ride the 3 pm bus from the pool.

The Mobridge Aquatic Center is closed today due to the cold temperatures. Summer School students will be riding the 1 pm bus routes home today, Thursday, June 5th.

The Wakpala School will have frozen meat bundles available for parents/guardians of enrolled students from 9 am to 12 pm tomorrow, June 5th, on a first come, first served basis. The food pantry will also be open!

A reminder that summer school starts tomorrow, Tuesday, May 27th. Bus times and routes will be the same as during the school year.

The last day of the afterschool will be Thursday, May 8th.

There will be an early release tomorrow, Friday, May 16th, at 1 pm.

And, a reminder, that the Athletic Banquet starts at 4 pm today, Thursday, May 15th, in the Wakpala School Theater.

K-12 academic awards will be presented THURSDAY May 15th at 9am in the School theater, the 8th Grade Stepping up Ceremony begins at 2 pm, and the Athletic Awards Banquet for middle and high school student/athletes will be in theater beginning at 4:00 pm CST and a meal to follow. Come, help celebrate our students' successes!

Wakpala Public School’s 8th Grade Stepping Up Ceremony will be May 15th at 2:00 p.m. CST in the school theater.

Cake & Refreshments to follow in Commons

Play Day for all K-5 students is Monday, May 12th at 1 pm in the Wakpala School gym. Please remind your child to wear appropriate shoes for running that day!

Everyone is invited to come watch the student compete & have fun.
