Andre Ingram Brief Bio
Andre Ingram is a professional basketball player. He grew up in Richmond, VA, graduating from
Highland Springs High School in 2003. From there he went on to attend American University,
earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics while playing basketball for the University for four years.
After graduating in 2007, he began his professional basketball career, playing in the minor
leagues of the NBA (G-League) for the Utah Flash and South Bay Lakers. Andre has played the
most games and has made the most 3-pointers in G-League history.
On April 9, 2018, Andre earned an NBA "call-up" and signed with the Los Angeles Lakers for the
remainder of the season. In his NBA debut against the Houston Rockets, Andre came off the
bench to score 19 points and electrify the Staples Center crowd. News of Andre's long,
inspirational journey to the NBA made headlines around the world. He threw out the first pitch
at a Los Angeles Dodgers game and made appearances on Good Morning America,
SportsCenter, and TNT. In 2019, the Lakers called Andre up again for a 10-day contract where
this time he got to play with LeBron James. Andre is currently training to play another
professional basketball season and also coaches/trains college and K-12 grade athletes! He and
his wife, Marilee, have two daughters, Maliyah and Navi, and a son, Baby Andre aka ‘Chief.’
