Wakpala School District #15-3 is a public school located in Wakpala, South Dakota on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation.  We are dedicated to the intellectual and social growth of each student as they learn to live effectively in a contemporary bi-cultural world.  Our school educates students to help them become successful in all aspects of life with attention to individual differences.

Back To School Registration

The Wakpala School will begin registration for returning & new students starting on August 4th through the 6th from 9am to 2pm. For new students registering please remember to bring a certified birth certificate & immunization records. If applicable, please also bring certified degree of Indian blood & any custody agreements. Thank you and welcome back!

The June 2nd School Board Election results were verified & a winner was declared. 52 ballots were cast of the 263 registered voters in our district. The official results are:

Wilma Steele - 17 votes
