2 hour late start today, Monday, October 26th, due to road conditions.

With the approaching winter storm and forecasted heavy snowfall, Wakpala Public School will hold classes virtually on Thursday & Friday, October 22nd & 23rd. Wakpala Public School will be physically closed Thursday & Friday, but classes will resume online. All students will be sent home with their computers today, October 21st. In preparation of closures, students have been taught how to log in for remote learning. They will need their login information & internet access. For those students who we are aware do not have internet access, paper educational packets will be sent home.
During this time of closure, staff will also deep clean so the building is fully sanitized and ready to re-open on Monday, October 26th.

As the first day of school approaches, we know parents & students alike have concerns. Please take a moment to review some information from the SD Department of Health. This information will be used in formulating our back-to-school plan.

Lifetouch will be at Wakpala School on October 16th, 2020 for School Pictures!

Due to the holiday on October 12th & no school, the lunch pickup for remote on-line learners will be October 13th.

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday, October 7th. With all of the challenges relating to COVID-19, we are giving you options! The attached letter will be going home with students today. Please make your selection and return it to the school by Friday, October 2nd. Thank you!

Wakpala Public School will be offering lunches, for pickup, to our students enrolled in remote online learning. Lunches for the entire week, can be picked up at the school each Monday. You must call the front office each Monday from 7-10 a.m. to place your order. Pickup will be from 10-11:30 a.m. each Monday using the East door on the front of the building (to the right of the canopy. You will be required to provide your student's PIN number in order to pick up the food. The PIN number is our way of verifying the student & eliminating duplication of meals.
Monday, September 7th, is a holiday so ordering & pickup will be pushed back to Tuesday, September 8th. The same times apply.
