Elementary Track & Field Day - Wednesday, May 12th at 1pm Grades K-5 will be participating in an Elementary Track & Field day tomorrow, May 12th at 1 pm CST. Families are welcome to join us at the football field to enjoy the day and watch your child compete!
Deputy Chief of Staff for Senator Mike Rounds Visits Kyle Chase visited with the Wakpala 6-8th grade students today. Kyle was born in Ft Yates ND and graduated in 2008 from Mobridge HS. He is an enrolled member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe and is currently the Deputy Chief of Staff for U.S. Senator Mike Rounds. Kyle shared his journey and experiences as well as the struggles he encountered while working toward his goals. Kyle’s wife Alyssa and daughter Saylor also made the trip from Washington DC.

Spelling Bee 13 students, 1st - 8th grade, competed in a Spelling Bee in McIntosh on Wednesday, March 24th. Thank you to everyone who participated & everyone who attended. Congratulations, participants, on a job well done!
Spring Basketball Schedule Wakpala has announced it's Spring Basketball League schedule! Spectators are welcome to attend games held at the Wakpala Public School but must wear masks and space whenever possible. Concessions will be available at the home games as well.Keep in mind, each school might be different on their Covid rules regarding spectators. If you are unsure of their policies, it may be best to reach out to them before you travel.
Sports Pictures - Wednesday April 28th - Click for Order form Sports Pictures will be taken on Wednesday, April 28th. The prices are as follows: Team and individual photo on 8x10 - $4, Photo Pin - $3, and Photo Magnet (3x4) - $4Wakpala Public School will pay for (1) 8x10 Team picture & (1) Photo Pin (a $7 total value) for each student participating in a sport.
